The St. Joseph's Foundation, established in 1990, and the Candler Foundation, established in 1983, provide philanthropic support to the hospitals from individuals, foundations and businesses. This support helps fund vital treatment programs, purchase cutting edge medical technology and enhance programs designed to keep people in our community healthy. In addition, these funds provide educational support to hospital staff, patients and patients’ families.

Today, the foundations raise awareness of and funds for St. Joseph’s/Candler. We work together to make a difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve throughout the region. Substantial funds are raised through the foundations’ annual events, which involve thousands of committee volunteers and attendees.

Gifts may be "restricted" or "unrestricted" as to use. Unrestricted gifts are used where our needs are greatest. Gifts may be designated, or "restricted," to one of our many areas of support. To restrict a gift, simply enclose a note specifying your wishes.

A Tribute Gift is a meaningful way to remember the life of a loved one, celebrate a special occasion (like the birth of a child or anniversary), or to honor someone special in your life. When making your gift, simply attach a note or fill in the information on your on-line donation form as to who you wish to designate and who should receive the acknowledgement.
