Volunteer opportunities are available at both St. Joseph's Hospital and Candler Hospital.

Volunteers are a vital resource for both hospitals. Volunteers assist the professional staff along with aiding patients’ families and visitors.

Volunteers give a minimum of four hours each week. To maintain an effective Volunteer Program, regular attendance on each scheduled shift is requested. We ask volunteers to report for their shifts on time and remain through the entire shift.

To identify themselves to the patients, staff and public, volunteers wear a name badge and uniform.

A youth volunteer program is offered each summer for young people age 14 years and older.
