William T. Garrett, M.D. is the medical director of the St. Joseph's/Candler Movement Disorder Program. Dr. Garrett received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and did his internship at Emory University in Atlanta. He then completed his residency and fellowship training in Movement Disorders at the University of Virginia. Dr. Garrett was associate professor of Neurology at the Medical College of Georgia prior to moving to Savannah in 1999. |

Fremont P. Wirth, M.D. is the neurosurgery director of the St. Joseph's/Candler Movement Disorder Program. Dr. Wirth received his M.D. from Vanderbilt University and did his surgery internship and one year residency in general surgery at Johns Hopkins. He then served as a Clinical Associate of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Blindness at the National Institutes of Health, where he participated in research in stereotactic treatment of Parkinson's Disease. He completed his neurosurgery training as a resident and fellow at Barnes Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. |
Together with the movement disorders team of therapists and support staff, Dr. Garrett and Dr. Wirth offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients suffering from movement disorders.
