Pink is the color of October and the hue of survival

Join us for a month of events, celebrations of survivorship and reminders to keep on top of your breast health with the third year of Paint the Town Pink. The Savannah Morning News and the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler are partnering to Paint the Town Pink again this year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Savannah will indeed be splashed in pink, from City Hall to the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion.
October 6 and October 7: Brides Against Breast Cancer Charity Designer Wedding Gown SaleSaturday from noon until 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. October 7: Savannah Morning News Pink Paper DayPortions of the pink paper sales will go toward the Mary Telfair Mammography Fund. October 9, 6-8pm Illuminate Breast CancerHeld in the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion's gardens, show your support by lighting a luminary in honor of a breast cancer survivor. Refreshments will be served. Donations can be made to the Mary Telfair Mammography Fund. Oct. 18, The Telfair Pavilion's Wine and Cheese Reception & Education Session on Self Breast Exam3:30-5 p.m. Located inside Candler Hospital. We will be hosting a wine and cheese reception and educating the public on self breast exams to promote breast cancer awareness.
