Spotlight on Nursing
St. Joseph's/Candler's "Journey to Excellence" was achieved in 2002 with its first designation as a Magnet facility, making SJ/C the first in the region and the 44th in the world to achieve this status. The "Journey" continued with redesignation in 2006, a rare accomplishment of status that is shared with only three percent of hospitals in the country. In 2010, SJ/C became one of only thirty-one sites in the country by receiving a third redesignation.
St. Joseph's/Candler continues to achieve and maintain the highest quality of professional nursing care, promotion and support of nursing development, and nursing leadership. These efforts are documented in our annual report, the 2012 Spotlight on Nursing.
