Special Gifts
St. Joseph's/Candler recently received a donation of $10,000 from the Greater Savannah Sports Council. The generous sum comes from the proceeds of last December's Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run.
The Council's Director, Benjamin Wilder, presented the check to Bob Duckworth, Executive Director of SJ/C's Foundations, in early April.
As an annual event presented by Enmark and organized by the Council, the Savannah River Bridge Run attracts thousands of participants, race enthusiasts and fun-seekers from Savannah, the Low Country, and across the U.S. each year. This year's donation will benefit the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion.
