With more than 300 combined years of service to the Savannah-area community, St. Joseph's/Candler has a long history of caring for area residents. Both hospitals were built on philanthropic tradition, which continues today.

Charitable resources are necessary to treat illness and promote wellness for all people. To this end, individual donors, businesses and volunteers contribute generously to the St. Joseph's/Candler Foundations. We reinvest all available revenues into programs, equipment, facilities and medical staff in order to provide this care. In addition to monetary donations, we greatly depend on the volunteers in our hospital to help supplement the work of our staff. The contributions they make every year are part of what gives our hospital its strength.
