Annual Events
St. Joseph's/Candler Foundations' annual event proceeds benefit services, programs and continuing education for staff and nurses. The Foundations work with volunteer committees to host some of the region's most unique and successful events, including:
- Candler Clays Charity Shoot
- Smart Women Luncheon & Expo
- Savannah Breast Cancer Golf Classic
Candler Clays Charity Shoot
Candler Clays Charity
Shoot is an annual event that benefits Oncology Education at St.
Joseph’s/Candler. Held in late February or early March, participants enjoy a
silent auction and dinner on Friday night and an entire day of shooting the
following day.

Smart Women Luncheon & Expo
- To benefit the Mammography Fund at the Mary Telfair Women's Hospital at St. Joseph's/Candler.
More than 1000 people attend the Smart Women Luncheon & Expo held each September at the Savannah Convention & Trade Center. Prior to the luncheon, attendees enjoyed a business expo showcasing the latest trends in business, finance and health care. Speakers have included Suzy Orman, Peggy Flemming, Ivana Trump, Erin Brocovich, Olympia Dukakis and Mary Kay Andrews.

Savannah Breast Cancer Golf Classic
Proceeds from
this event benefit St. Joseph’s/Candler Mammography Fund. The mammography
fund pays expenses related to early detection services for under or uninsured
women. Last year this fund provided early detection screenings for 162
women.
This event will be held October 22, 2009, at the Savannah
Harbor Golf Club
Noon: Lunch at Savannah Harbor
1 p.m: Shoot Gun Start
1:30 p.m: Tournament begins
$1,200 for a team of four
