SJ/C VP named Association of Fundraising Professionals president
St. Joseph’s/Candler VP named Coastal Georgia’s Association of Fundraising Professionals president
The following Savannahians were elected as new chapter officers for the Coastal Georgia Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP):
* President - Bob Duckworth, Vice President, St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundations
* Vice President, Programs - Kris Edenfield, Development Coordinator, Live Oaks Public Library Foundation
* Vice President, Membership - Barbara Evans, Director of Development, Telfair Museum
* Treasurer - Jean Doliber, Southeast Regional Development Manager, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama
* Secretary - Melinda Laager, Executive Director, Savannah Technical College Foundation
Founded in 1960, The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) advances philanthropy through its nearly 28,000 members in 190 chapters throughout the world. AFP works to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
The Coastal Georgia Chapter has over 30 active members representing 24 not-for-profit organizations. The chapter meets six times per year at a Live Oak Library. For information on membership, call Barbara Evans, (912) 790-8892.
