Accreditations

The list of accreditations held by St. Joseph’s/Candler, the LCRP and its staff members reflect an unparalleled commitment to individualized, evidence-based best practices in patient care. Most prominently, St. Joseph’s/Candler is one of only three hospital networks in the country granted a top rating and prestigious three-year network accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. In our region, this accreditation is unique to St. Joseph’s/Candler. This approval, which involves regular reassessment, recognizes LCRP’s patient success, its commitment to coordinated (multidisciplinary) team care and ongoing clinical research.

The quality of the care provided by LCRP is a true reflection of the excellence of its staff. In 2006, the American Nurses Association again awarded its highest recognition, Magnet status, to St. Joseph’s/Candler, recognizing our nurses for exceptional patient care. Also, Radiation Oncology Center, LCRP’s partner radiology facility, is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR thoroughly and regularly reviews the facility to make sure its radiation therapy meets the highest standards of quality. The fact that the review is voluntary attests to Radiation Oncology Center’s commitment to exceptional care.
