Advanced Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) for Valve Surgery
Our board-certified and fellowship trained cardiothoracic surgeons and interventional cardiologists at The Heart Hospital offer Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - a minimally invasive procedure for high risk patients with severe aortic stenosis.
Expert Collaboration for Improved Outcomes
At The Valve Clinic within The Heart Hospital at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a dedicated nurse navigator will work with your schedule and introduce you to an experienced team of board-certified surgeons and interventional cardiologists as well as other diagnostic specialists. Together, these experts work together as a multidisciplinary team to complete a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. As a part of your diagnostic evaluation, you may have several tests, including:
Lung function testing
In addition, our team will also evaluate your strength, mobility, nutrition, and tissue integrity. They will then meet to thoroughly review your case. Together, they will carefully prepare your individualized treatment plan for routine or complex valve conditions.
Accepting Referrals through The Valve Clinic
The Valve Clinic at The Heart Hospital is accepting referrals for patients evaluating treatment options for a new or existing valve condition. A dedicated Nurse Navigator will assist patients through each Valve Clinic visit, coordinating all relevant documentation and prior diagnostic studies.
Both a cardiac surgeon and interventional cardiologist will meet with each Valve Clinic patient and then jointly review both medical history and test results. This multidisciplinary approach results in a collaborative and comprehensive diagnostic assessment.
Dr. Soumya Neravetla is the Medical Director of The Valve Clinic in the Heart Hospital at St. Joseph's Hospital.
