Morehouse School of Medicine Partnership for Prevention
The Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion (LCRP) partnered with Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Networks Program (CNP), to expand current outreach and cancer screening efforts in minority and other underserved populations in our community. The CNP has expertise in cultural competency and in increasing minority and underserved participation in primary prevention and early detection programs.
Morehouse School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, Georgia, was one of the first African-American medical schools to be established in the United States. The LCRP plans to continue to expand community programs and collaborate with Morehouse School of Medicine, an institution that is widely recognized as a national leader in the development of innovative and sustainable academic-community partnerships.
