Mole Mapping

Do you have several moles on your body that you are concerned about, or a family history of melanoma? At the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion (LCRP), specialized nurses called melanographers can complete a comprehensive skin assessment that includes Molesafe technology.

With Molesafe, moles are digitally photographed using a dermoscopic camera to create a melanogram (or “map”) of your moles. The images are stored and can be reviewed and evaluated yearly to detect any clinical changes. Click here for more information about mole-mapping services at the LCRP.
