Dr. Michelle Gainty

Michelle Gainty, DO, FACOG, received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology and chemistry with Summa Cum Laude honors from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn., graduating as part of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Fraternity. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C., where she received Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Following residency, she transferred to Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart where she provided full-scope OB/GYN medicine and surgery while also serving as the Chief of the Women’s Health Clinic. She completed eight years of military service and was honorably discharged as a Major. Dr. Gainty is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Gainty sees patients in midtown Savannah at Candler Hospital and at the SJ/C - Pooler Campus each Monday.
