Social services empower patients and their caregivers so they can learn how to live and cope with movement disorders. A social worker provides one-on-one specialized services and pays careful attention to movement disorders patient and caregiver needs including:

  • Medication assistance is given to patients who need help obtaining medicine, including referrals to pharmaceutical companies with appropriate programs.
  • Resource referrals are accessed for patients and their caregivers. Referrals may include financial, respite, educational, spiritual, legal, emotional, social and medical resources.
