Good Samaritan Clinic
Since 2007, the Good Samaritan Clinic has been a place of hope and wellness for the uninsured in West Chatham County and beyond. Created to address the critical need for healthcare among uninsured and underinsured individuals, the clinic was established by St. Joseph’s/Candler with community support and volunteers from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The Good Samaritan Clinic remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a healthier, more inclusive community where wellness is prioritized for all.
Caring for our community’s health

The Good Samaritan Clinic's collective mission is to provide excellent, accessible healthcare to every individual, regardless of background or circumstance. Staffed by dedicated nurse practitioners, medical assistants, administrative personnel and volunteers, we create a welcoming environment for every patient. With many bilingual staff members, we bridge language gaps and provide care that feels familiar and comforting, listening to each patient and clearly explaining information in their preferred language.
In partnership with other services at St. Joseph’s/Candler, we deliver comprehensive support to control chronic diseases, offer cancer screenings, provide free or discounted medications, and facilitate access to specific specialty care. Every eligible individual over 18 receives quality care at no cost.
To qualify as a patient, you must be uninsured and have an annual income below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. We welcome all who meet these criteria, affirming our commitment to accessible healthcare for every community member.
