The head and neck cancer multidisciplinary team meets regularly to review patient cases and treatment options to ensure you receive the best individualized care.
The head and neck multidisciplinary team strives:
- To standardize consistent educational materials, pathology reports and work-up processes and procedures
- To create screening guidelines
- To develop treatment plans through tumor boards to be utilized as guidelines in the treatment and care management of head and neck cancer.
Initiatives developed by the head and neck multidisciplinary team have included a head and neck screening program and multidisciplinary treatment guidelines for cancers of the head and neck based on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines.
