Financial Navigator now available at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion
The Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion provides comprehensive cancer care to patients, and to further that care, a full time Financial Navigator is now available to support patients needing assistance.
The Financial Navigator assists patients in understanding their financial obligations and choices including:
- Understanding their financial responsibility for their treatment
- Understanding their insurance and what is covered
- Exploring available payment options
- Looking for available assistance programs, such as drug co-pay
- Looking at government program qualifications, such as Medicaid or disability
A cancer diagnosis can be frightening and stressful and financial burdens should not hinder the healing process. The services provided by the Financial Navigator are free to all patients, including those patients being treated in South Carolina. The Financial Navigator is located in the Radiation Oncology suite at the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion and available in person, by phone, or by email Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are not necessary. Call 912-819-7631 with any questions or for more information.
