Dr. Huan Giap earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Physics from MD Anderson Caner Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He earned his Medical Doctorate through the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Giap did a transitional internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, followed by a residency in radiation oncology plus proton therapy at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, Calf. Dr. Giap then did a clinical fellowship in SRS/SBRT and brachytherapy at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, Calif.
Dr. Giap is a member or past member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology, American College of Radiology, American College of Radiation Oncology, American Brachytherapy Society, CyberKnife Society and American Medical Society. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and honors, participated in many research activities and been published in multiple books, chapters and other publications.
