The Residency Class of 2023



Candler Hospital PGY1 Class of 2023

Dr. Sarah Arnold is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Dr. Arnold’s professional interests include critical care and infectious diseases. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Arnold would like to either complete a PGY2 in one of her interests or pursue a career after residency with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in the inpatient setting within a community-based hospital system. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys exploring new restaurants in the area, playing volleyball or pickle-ball, hiking, and painting. 

Dr. Zoanne Harlas is originally from Las Cruces, NM. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Ga. Dr. Harlas’ professional interests include critical care and infectious disease. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Harlas would like to complete PGY2 in critical care, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in a community hospital. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys trying new restaurants around Savannah, playing tennis, and reading.

Dr. Zachary Holmes is originally from Vidalia, GA. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Holmes’ professional interests include Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Academia. Upon completion of his PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Holmes would like to pursue a career in Internal Medicine, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in a community hospital setting. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and Georgia football.

Dr. Anna Phillips is originally from Easley, South Carolina. She completed her pharmacy prerequisites at Presbyterian College before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the  Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy in Clinton, South Carolina. Dr. Phillips’ professional interests include emergency medicine, critical care, and oncology.  Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Phillips would like to complete PGY2 in emergency medicine or critical care, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts and completing jig saw puzzles.

Dr. Kathryn Stang is originally from Ellwood City, PA. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. Dr. Stang’s professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine, and oncology. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Stang would like to complete a PGY2 in one of her interest areas, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in a community-hospital setting. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys rollerblading, playing sports, and exploring new restaurants in Savannah.

 

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Programs


St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Critical Care

Dr. Connor Floyd is originally from Hickory, NC. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science degree in 2019 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2021 from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Dr. Floyd’s professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine and infectious disease. Upon completion of his PGY2 pharmacy residency, Dr. Floyd would like to pursue a career as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in the intensive care or emergency medicine setting. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys practicing the piano, hanging out with friends and exploring Savannah.

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Emergency Medicine

Dr. Beck Hogewood is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in Monroe, Louisiana before earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana-Monroe College of Pharmacy. Dr. Hogewood’s professional interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, and critical care. Upon completion of his PGY2 pharmacy residency, Dr. Hogewood would like to practice as a board-certified clinical pharmacist working in the emergency department. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys playing guitar and watching LSU football.

St. Joseph's/Candler Ambulatory Care PGY2

Dr. Gator Hazelett is originally from Hagerhill, KY. He completed undergraduate studies in 2017 at Alice Lloyd College in Hindman, KY before earning his PharmD in 2021 from Marshall University School of Pharmacy in Huntington, WV. Dr. Hazelett’s professional interests include Ambulatory Care and being involved in local pharmacy initiatives. Upon completion of his PGY2 pharmacy residency in Ambulatory Care, Dr. Hazelett would like to pursue a career in Ambulatory Care, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacy working at SJCHS. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys reality TV, escape rooms, volleyball, jigsaw puzzles, and volunteering.
