The residency workshops include professional development topics such as:

  • Orientation to the residency
  • Communication
  • Critical thinking activities
  • Introduction to other disciplines in the hospital
  • Information about the business of healthcare
  • Introduction to nursing quality measures, shared governance and risk management
  • Skills practice in a sim lab

  • The residency workshops are four-hour sessions that are presented on a virtual or live platform.
  • There is a graduation at the end of the program to celebrate your accomplishments during the program.
  • The program has been recognized by the federal and state Departments of Labor as a Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Program (IRAP). This designation along, with accrediation from ANCC as an accredited transition to practice program, are something you can be proud of and reassure you that our residency program meets standards of excellence set by both of these organizations.
