Meet Our Residents

The Residency Class of 2026

 

Candler Hospital PGY1 Class of 2026


Dr. Kameron Francis is originally from Darien, Georgia. She completed her pharmacy prerequisites at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia before obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Francis professional interest include ambulatory care, academia, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Francis would like to complete a PGY2 residency in an area of interest and ultimately begin a career in her interest area alongside an academia career. Outside of the pharmacy she enjoys spending time with family, her puppy (Sophie), arts and crafts, and flipping furniture and other items.

Dr. Ashley Hannah is originally from Saltillo, Mississippi. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences at Mississippi State University before earning her Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Hannah’s professional interests include emergency medicine and academia. Upon completion of her PGY1, Dr. Hannah would like to pursue a PGY2 pharmacy residency in emergency medicine, with the ultimate goal of practicing as a board-certified pharmacist. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys powerlifting, reading, watching eagles football and baking.

Dr. Taylor Hewitt is originally from Huntley, IL. She completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, GA. Dr. Hewitt’s professional interest include Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Ambulatory Care. Upon completion of her PGY1, Dr. Hewitt would like to complete a PGY2 program in a selected specialty of interest and become board certified. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, going to the beach or local restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.



Dr. Samantha Saraceno
is originally from Scarborough, ME. She completed her Doctorate of pharmacy degree at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in Oxford, MS. Dr. Saraceno’s professional interest is Critical Care. Upon completion of her PGY1, Dr. Saraceno would like to complete a PGY2 in Critical Care pharmacy. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys running, reading, going to the beach, doing puzzles, and playing card and board games. 


Dr. Phuong Giao Tran
is originally from Tucker, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Georgia. Dr. Tran’s professional interests include infectious disease, critical care, and neonatology. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, Dr. Tran would like to pursue a PGY-2 pharmacy residency in infectious disease and work towards her goal of practicing as a board-certified clinical pharmacist. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.

Dr. Cody Veal is originally from Columbus, GA. He completed his pharmacy degree at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens, GA. Dr. Veal’s practice interests include emergency medicine, infectious disease, and ambulatory care. Upon completion of his PGY1, Dr. Veal would like to become board certified. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys working out, running, walking his dogs, and going to the beach.

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Programs

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Critical Care

Dr. Morgan Keller is originally from Longwood, Florida. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences at Florida State University before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy. (Go Noles!) Dr. Keller completed her PGY1 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital. Dr. Keller’s professional interests include critical care, infectious disease, and academia. Upon completion of her PGY2 residency, Dr. Keller would like to pursue a career as a board certified critical care pharmacist working in the intensive care setting. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, and traveling.

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Emergency Medicine

Dr. Saralyn Hardin is originally from Brooklet, GA. She completed her pharmacy pre-requisites at Georgia Southern University, attended pharmacy school at South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, GA, and completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at St. Joseph’s/Candler. After completion of residency training, she would like to pursue a career in academia. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, traceling, and spending time on the water.

St. Joseph's/Candler PGY2 Ambulatory Care

Dr. Mary Sizer is originally from Cincinnati, OH. She completed her undergraduate studies and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Sizer completed her PGY1 residency training at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA. Her professional interests include ambulatory care. Upon completion of her PGY2 pharmacy residency, she intends to become board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy practicing at an outpatient in a clinical role. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, exercising, and reading.
