St. Joseph’s/Candler welcomes the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as an exclusive managed care partner, and will provide health care services to more than 1,500 employees and their families, as well as 10,000 students in Savannah.

“We are honored to have SCAD on board. St. Joseph’s/Candler will provide its employees, their families and students the highest level of service and care that all our managed care partners have experienced for decades,” said Paul P. Hinchey, President & CEO of St. Joseph’s/Candler. “We have the region’s top medical specialists in our network and have invested in the latest technology to ensure those in our community don’t have to travel to get top care.”

"Offering employees the best health and wellness plan has always been a top priority," said Lesley Hanak, SCAD vice president for human resources. "We are confident in the outstanding services St. Joseph's/Candler will provide."

The plan is effective July 1, and will serve 3,700 covered lives. St. Joseph’s/Candler’s The Care Network has a broad panel of physicians who are accepting new patients. St. Joseph’s/Candler will open a student clinic in the Georgia Infirmary facility, located at 1900 Abercorn Street.
