Visitors are an important part of the healing process. Visits are made easier by knowing the visiting, cafeteria and gift shop hours and relevant phone numbers.

How to reach a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital

To call a patient's room directly, dial 912-819-4 plus the room number. The main hospital phone number is 912-819-4100.

General visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hours vary in specialty areas, such as our critical care units. Please talk to your loved one's nurse for specifics. Visiting hours also may be affected during flu season. It's always best to check with your loved one's nurse in case of any changes to visiting hours.

The cafeteria at St. Joseph's Hospital is open weekdays for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch/dinner from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. On the weekends, the cafeteria is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch/dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Vending is also available on the floor in the snack bar near the cafeteria, the Day Surgery and CCU waiting areas and on the second floor near the visitor's elevator.

We also have the Baggot Street café located in the Outpatient Lobby. It offers coffee, pastries and other items. It's open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

The gift shop at St. Joseph's Hospital is located just inside the main entrance lobby. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also for your convenience, there's an ATM located in the corridor leading to the cafeteria.

To call a patient's room directly, dial 912-819-5 plus the room number. The main hospital number is 912-819-6000.

General visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hours vary in specialty areas, such as our critical care units and Telfair BirthPlace. Please talk to your loved one's nurse for specifics. Visiting hours also may be affected during flu season. It's always best to check with your loved one's nurse in case of any changes to visiting hours.

The cafeteria at Candler Hospital is open for breakfast weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch/dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekends, the cafeteria is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Vending is also available, located near the north elevators and outside the emergency room.

SmartBytes is located on the first floor in the Professional Office Building facing DeRenne Avenue. It offers coffee, other drinks, lite meals and snacks. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Ritazza Coffee Shop is located on the first floor of the hospital near the lobby and gift shop. It offers coffee, drinks and pastries. It's open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The gift shop at Candler Hospital is located just behind the main entrance lobby. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
