This 1.2 Tesla magnet, available at St. Joseph’s/Candler Imaging Center in Bluffton, is a high-tech imaging tool that benefits both patients and physicians. It produces pristine imaging results, is less claustrophobic for patients and reduces the likelihood of rescheduling due to compatibility issues.

The Oasis open MRI is the most powerful whole-body open MRI magnet available and provides ultimate patient comfort and maximum image quality. The inside of the Oasis framework provides a 270-degree unobstructed view, which minimizes anxiety and claustrophobia and maximizes a more pleasant environment for the patient during an MRI scan. This also allows the patient to have a loved one or friend nearby during the exam for further reassurance – fantastic for our pediatric patients!

  Our system’s high weight limit allows us to comfortably accommodate a greater range of patients, ensuring everyone can access critical diagnostic care in a comfortable, open setting.

  The motorized table adjusts smoothly from 20 to 35 inches, making entering and exiting the MRI easy. This is particularly beneficial for patients with mobility concerns, as the low table range makes positioning easy and safe.
