Pre-registration for birth

Expecting mothers can fill in their information below and be one step closer to being ready for the day big. This form will help us have your information on file for when you come for delivery.

Preparing for your delivery: What you should know

Will my baby be able to stay in my room after delivery?

Absolutely. After delivery, your little one will join you in your room, where the same nurse will provide care for both of you. We aim to foster bonding and ensure you and your baby receive continuous support and attention in this special time.

When may I have an epidural?

The timing of when to have an epidural is a decision made collaboratively between you and your doctor. Your comfort and well-being are of utmost importance, and your healthcare team is here to support you in making choices that align with your preferences and needs.

May I eat during labor?

You may enjoy liquids such as ice, Popsicles™, soda, tea, fruit juice and more during labor. Staying hydrated and nourished with these options can help provide you with the essential energy needed for the birthing process.

What happens if I need a C-section?

If a cesarean section is necessary, our experienced and caring perioperative surgical teams and in-house obstetrical anesthesiologists are available whether you go into labor during the day or in the middle of the night.

Why do I need an IV?

An IV is essential during labor as it serves as a pathway for vital fluids to prevent dehydration. Additionally, we utilize IVs to deliver pain medications and antibiotics when necessary, ensuring your comfort and safety throughout your labor and delivery.

Can my family stay in the labor room?

Your support system is crucial during this transformative journey. We welcome a support person and two visitors to stay with you as you progress through labor and birth. In the case of a C-section, one family member is permitted to accompany you for added support. Please note our visiting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a policy prohibiting individuals under 18 from staying beyond these hours. Your comfort and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we strive to create a nurturing environment that allows for the presence of your loved ones when you need them most.
