Know your heart. Change your life.

You can take action today to safeguard your heart's health.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in the United States, taking more lives than all cancers combined. Furthermore, someone dies from cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds and heart attacks occur every 40 seconds.

While February is Heart Health Awareness Month, the heart doctors, nurses and clinical teams at St. Joseph's/Candler encourage you to be proactive about your heart’s health year round. So we are taking this awareness opportunity to educate you about the risks of heart disease, heart attack and stroke, as well as offer some helpful tips for good heart health.

The Heart Hospital at St. Joseph's/Candler is the leading provider of diagnostic and therapeutic minimally-invasive cardiac produces in the region, serving more than 3,500 patients each year. St. Joseph's Hospital was the first in the region to achieve full accreditation as a Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.

We care about your heart health.
