About Katharine A. Armstrong, MD
Dr. Katharine Armstrong earned a Bachelor’s of Art in music and a Bachelor’s of Science in biochemistry from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. She then received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Armstrong did a residency in general surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE followed by a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Armstrong is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
In her free time, Dr. Armstrong enjoys indoor cycling, singing, music, hiking and traveling. She also speaks conversational Spanish.
