St. Mary’s Community Center
St. Mary’s Community Center serves as a beacon of hope and care for Savannah’s Cuyler-Brownsville neighborhood. This dynamic hub provides essential health screenings and wellness programs tailored to support community members.
Offerings include:
- Regular blood pressure and blood sugar checks
- Weekly cardiovascular clinics focusing on managing high blood pressure
- Quarterly cancer screenings for mammograms and cervical health
- Weight management programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles
- Annual prostate screenings and flu vaccinations
Additionally, the St. Mary’s Health Center offers free healthcare services for uninsured residents of Chatham County. With a dedicated team of medical professionals and volunteers, the center ensures access to non-emergent care, prescription medications, and coordinated referrals to the Community HealthCare Center.
African-American Health Information & Resource Center
At the African-American Health Information & Resource Center, we are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of African-Americans in Chatham County and enhancing public health for all. St. Joseph’s/Candler organizes health screenings and events tailored to the unique healthcare needs of the African-American community.
Through a variety of programs, the Center addresses unique healthcare concerns while fostering education and community connection. The Center offers a wide range of health services designed to empower individuals to take charge of their well-being:
- Health Screenings: Including regular blood pressure checks and other preventive health measures.
- Living Smart Fitness Club: A holistic fitness program featuring Yoga, Zumba, Line Dancing, and Stress Reduction Meditation to support physical and mental health.
- Wisdom and Gathering Sessions: Free health seminars that provide valuable insights on managing health and wellness.

Good Samaritan Clinic
Opened in 2007, the Good Samaritan Clinic delivers exceptional care to those without health insurance. With a compassionate team of volunteer healthcare professionals, the clinic offers comprehensive medical services in a welcoming environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Adults aged 18 and older
- No health insurance coverage
- Household income below 400% of the federal poverty level
