Early detection saves lives, and the St. Joseph's/Candler Center for Imaging Services, in collaboration with the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion, is here to support you with advanced lung cancer screenings. With four convenient locations in Savannah, Pooler and Bluffton, we make it easy for eligible individuals to prioritize their health.
Our lung cancer screening program is proud to be designated an ACR Lung Cancer Screening Center by the American College of Radiology. This designation means our program meets the highest standards for lung cancer screenings, ensuring patients receive accurate and reliable results with advanced imaging technology. It also reassures patients that they are in trusted, expert hands when it comes to early detection and care.
A team approach to fighting lung cancer
At the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler, our thoracic oncology team is dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care. This team includes specialists such as oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nutritionists, and patient navigators. Together, they work to create a streamlined, patient-focused plan for treatment and care.
Our goals:
- Standardizing educational materials, pathology reports, and processes
- Creating and implementing guidelines for care
- Developing treatment plans through tumor boards
- Establishing a roadmap for effective cancer management
These initiatives are guided by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines and include dedicated programs for lung cancer screenings and treatment protocols for thoracic cancers, such as lung and esophageal cancer.
