Dr. Marc Bailey received his undergraduate degree from Emory University. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va. and went on to do his residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, East Carolina University School of Medicine, in Greenville, NC. He did a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Howard A. Zaren received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba Medical School in Winnipeg, Canada. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Tenured Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Illinois and the Principal Investigator of the Minority-Based Community Clinical Oncology Program of Cook County. Since 1988, he has published 57 refereed articles, 93 abstracts and 11 book chapters, and has presented at Regional, National and International venues.

In October of 2008, Dr. Howard A. Zaren was recruited as Medical Director of the Nancy N. and J. C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion in Savannah, Georgia. He served as medical director until October 2020. His current role is Medical Director for Melanoma, Skin and Sarcoma services and Medical Director for Medical Genetics.
